Originaire de Londres, Nix Northwest est un rappeur, producteur et multi-instrumentiste qui mélange des sons de jazz, de hip-hop et de broken beats avec des paroles introspectives et des accroches accrocheuses. Il a grandi dans un foyer très musical et a commencé à jouer du piano dès son plus jeune âge.
À la fin de son adolescence, il a commencé à rapper sérieusement après avoir rencontré son futur collaborateur Lausse The Cat. Il apparaît alors sur le premier EP de Lausse, « The Girl, The Cat and The Tree », en tant qu’instrumentiste et parolier. À ce moment-là, il a commencé à apprendre à produire de la musique tout en étudiant le piano jazz au Leeds Music College.
La sortie de son premier EP autoproduit « Life’s A Bitch, I Just Need an Early Night » en octobre 2019 a été saluée par la critique et a attiré l’attention de toute l’industrie. Il a publié son single de suivi ‘Drive Slow’en septembre 2020 en transition vers son premier album conceptuel intitulé ‘Xin’s Disappearance’, dont la sortie est prévue pour 2022.
Nix a participé à d’autres projets en tant qu’artiste et producteur. Il a notamment collaboré à l’album « The Silhouettes Project » avec des artistes comme Enny, Lausse the Cat, B-ahwe, Harry Crane et bien d’autres. À ce jour, sa musique a accumulé plus de 20 millions de streams sur Spotify de manière totalement organique. Le ton est donné pour les choses à venir.

London bred, Nix Northwest is a rapper, producer and multi-instrumentalist blending sounds of jazz, hip-hop and broken beats topped with introspective lyricism and catchy hooks. He grew up in very musical household and began playing the piano from a young age.
By his late teens he started to take rapping seriously after meeting future collaborator Lausse The Cat. From there he appeared on Lausse’s debut EP ‘The Girl, The Cat and The Tree’ as both an instrumentalist and lyricist. By this point he had begun to teach himself music production while studying jazz piano at Leeds Music College.
The release of his self-produced debut EP ‘Life’s A Bitch, I Just Need an Early Night’ in October 2019 received critical acclaim and gained industry wide attention. He released his follow up single ‘Drive Slow ‘in September 2020 transitioning towards his conceptual debut album entitled ‘Xin’s Disappearance,’ due for release in 2022.
Nix has been involved in other projects both as a featured artist and producer. Notably collaborating on ‘The Silhouettes Project’ album along with the likes of Enny, Lausse the Cat, B-ahwe, Harry Crane and more. To date, his music has amassed over 20 Million streams on Spotify completely organically. Setting the tone for things to come.
