John Moods
Jonathan Jarzyna alias John Moods est un auteur-compositeur germano-polonais originaire de Berlin et cofondateur du groupe expérimental Fenster. En 2018, il a sorti son premier album « The Essential John Moods » sur le label berlinois Mansions and Millions, suivi en 2019 du single « I Wanted You » et d’un deuxième album intitulé « So Sweet So Nice » en 2021 .
Depuis la sortie de son premier album, il a effectué des tournées à travers l’Europe en faisant les premières parties d’Homeshake, Porches, Jonathan Bree ou encore Dagobert.
Son style peut être décrit comme de la pop outsider spiritualo-romantique – excentrique mais avec un sens très fort de la pop, combiné avec « le son folk psychédélique à jazzy de la fin des années soixante et des années soixante-dix, au rock AOR des années quatre-vingt » (selon le magazine Spex, entre autres). De nombreux thèmes spirituels et philosophiques sont cachés dans les paroles. John Moods a collaboré plusieurs fois avec le chanteur canadien Sean Nicholas Savage, ce qui a donné lieu aux chansons « Take It Home » sur son premier album ainsi que « One Sweet Thing » sur l’album « Screamo » de Sean Nicholas Savage. Sean Nicholas Savage a également coproduit la chanson « I Wanted You ». En 2019, John Moods a effectué une tournée européenne avec Sean en tant que bassiste. La même année, il sort la chanson « Like A Whisper » avec l’artiste polonais Better Person.
En 2022, John Moods sort un EP avec des versions démo d’anciennes et de nouvelles chansons, et se prépare à parcourir l’Europe pour sa première tournée.

Jonathan Jarzyna aka John Moods is a German-Polish songwriter from Berlin and co-founder of the experimental band Fenster. He released his debut album « The Essential John Moods » in 2018 on the Berlin label Mansions and Millions, followed in 2019 by the single « I Wanted You » and a second full length album called « So Sweet So Nice » in 2021 on Mansions and Millions and the Canadian label Arbutus Records.
Since the first album’s release, he has toured throughout Europe and played shows with bands such as Jonathan Bree, Homeshake, Porches and Dagobert.
His style can be described as spiritual-romantic outsider pop – quirky but with a very strong sense of pop, combined with « psychedelic to jazzy folk sound of the late sixties and seventies, to AOR eighties rock » (according to Spex magazine, among others). There are many spiritual and philosophical themes hidden in the lyrics. John Moods has collaborated several times with Canadian singer Sean Nicholas Savage, which resulted in the songs « Take It Home » on his debut album as well as « One Sweet Thing » on Sean Nicholas Savage’s album « Screamo ». Sean Nicholas Savage also co-produced the song « I Wanted You. » In 2019, John Moods toured Europe with Sean as bassist. In the same year, he released the song « Like A Whisper » with Polish artist Better Person. This was followed in 2020 by the single « Deine Welt » with German artist Luis Ake.
In 2020, two of his songs were featured in the HBO series « High Maintenance. » In an episode of the series « High Fidelity » on Hulu, a song even ran in the end credits of an episode. In 2021, the new album called « So Sweet So Nice » alongside a collection of poetry (« Sounds Of A Clown ») was released on Mansions and Millions and the Canadian label Arbutus Records.
In 2022 John Moods released an EP with demo versions of old and new songs. He will finally go on his release tour with a live band and release new material.
