La performance live de Floodlights est brute et intime, entrelacée d’explosions puissantes et de rythmes de marche. Le lyrisme évocateur est au cœur de leur écriture et est mis en valeur par leur son unique. Ils explorent les thèmes des troubles personnels, de l’identité nationale et du paysage australien comme forme d’évasion. Floodlights écrit honnêtement et poétiquement dans l’espoir que cela résonne avec autrui.
En avril 2023, Floodlights a sorti son deuxième album studio, Painting of My Time, qui témoigne d’une progression et d’une évolution naturelles en tant que groupe et individus – c’est un point culminant de tout ce qu’ils vivent à l’intérieur et à l’extérieur du groupe. Finaliste du prix de la musique australienne, l’album a obtenu une reconnaissance nationale. Floodlights a joué devant d’innombrables foules dévouées lors d’une tournée en Australie, en Europe et au Royaume-Uni pendant la majeure partie de l’année 2023. De retour au pays, ils ont terminé l’année avec une performance véritablement triomphale au Meredith Music Festival.

Floodlights’ live performance is raw and intimate, intertwined with powerful outbursts and marching rhythms. Evocative lyricism lies at the heart of their songwriting and is enhanced by their unique sound. They explore themes of personal turbulence, national identity and the Australian landscape as a form of escapism. Floodlights write honestly and poetically in the hope that it resonates with others.
In April 2023, Floodlights released their second studio album Painting of My Time, showcasing a natural progression and evolution as a band and individuals – It is a culmination of all that they experience inside and out of the group. Finalist for the Australian Music Prize, the record obtained national recognition. Floodlights played to countless devoted crowds while touring Australia, Europe and the UK for the better half of 2023. Back on home soil, they finished off the year with a truly triumphant performance at Meredith Music Festival.
