Présentée au Late Night Show de la télévision irlandaise en septembre 2020, Denise Chaila, toute jeune rappeuse irlandaise de 27 ans, originaire de Zambie. Elle ne fait que briller depuis janvier 2019. Son premier album ‘Go Bravely’ est sorti en octobre dernier et ses textes évoque sa double identité et la difficulté de se faire une place dans une société très traditionnelle et mono-culturelle.

Denise Chaila’s single CHAILA and accompanying Other Voices performance at the National Gallery catapulted her into ‘household name’ territory this summer. Almost overnight, she became the highest charting female artist in Ireland.
On 28th August, Denise releases ‘Holy Grail’, the second single from her upcoming mixtape, on narolane records. A song that dreams big dreams, Denise is in the process of realising hers. The release comes a day ahead of a once-off televised performance with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra. RTÉ Shine features Denise Chaila and fellow chart topper Dermot Kennedy performing with the orchestra at the National Concert Hall. The programme airs on RTÉ One.
