Bleachers est dirigé par Jack Antonoff, chanteur, auteur-compositeur, musicien et producteur mondialement connu et récompensé par onze Grammy Awards. Tant avec Bleachers qu’en tant qu’auteur-compositeur et producteur, Antonoff, qui, en 2021, a été salué par la BBC pour avoir « redéfini la musique pop », a collaboré avec des artistes tels que Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey, The 1975, Diana Ross, Lorde, St. Vincent, Florence + The Machine, Kevin Abstract et bien d’autres encore. En février 2024, Antonoff a remporté le titre de producteur de l’année aux Grammy Awards pour la troisième année consécutive, devenant ainsi le deuxième producteur de l’histoire à gagner trois années de suite.
Après avoir sorti leur premier album « Strange Desire » en 2014, Bleachers s’est construit un public énorme et passionné en trois albums studio, devenant célèbre pour son impressionnant spectacle sur scène et sa camaraderie contagieuse. Le dernier album du groupe, « Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night », les a propulsés vers de nouveaux sommets, mettant en valeur l’écriture immersive d’Antonoff et, comme l’a souligné Variety, son talent inné pour « transformer des histoires personnelles en hymnes pop plus grands que nature ».
Bleachers », le quatrième album studio du groupe, sort le vendredi 8 mars sur le label Dirty Hit et contient les singles « Modern Girl », « Alma Mater », « Tiny Moves » et « Me Before You ». Le son du groupe sur « Bleachers » est d’une grande profondeur : il est présenté dans un technicolor brillant et plein d’âme. L’album est le point de vue du leader Antonoff, sur les contradictions sensorielles bizarres de la vie moderne, sur sa position dans la culture et sur les choses qui lui tiennent à cœur. C’est triste, c’est joyeux, c’est de la musique pour conduire sur l’autoroute, pour pleurer et pour danser dans les mariages. Il y a quelque chose de rassurant, de tactile et de concret dans ce sentiment : exister dans une époque folle, mais se souvenir de ce qui compte.

Releasing their debut album ‘Strange Desire’ in 2014, Bleachers have built a huge, passionate following across three studio albums, becoming renowned for their impressive live show and infectious camaraderie. The band’s last album, ‘Take the Sadness Out of Saturday Night’ took them to new heights, showcasing Antonoff’s immersive songwriting and, as Variety testified, his innate skill at “supersizing personal stories into larger-than-life pop anthems”.
‘Bleachers’, the band’s fourth studio album, is released Friday 8th March via Dirty Hit and features singles ‘Modern Girl’, ‘Alma Mater’, ‘Tiny Moves’ and ‘Me Before You’. There’s a rich depth to the band’s sound on ‘Bleachers’: it is laid out in bright, soulful technicolour. The album is frontman Antonoff’s distinctly New Jersey take on the bizarre sensory contradictions of modern life, on his position in culture, and on the things he cares about. Sonically, it’s sad, it’s joyful, it’s music for driving on the highway to, for crying to and for dancing to at weddings. There’s something reassuringly touchable and concrete about its sentiment: exist in crazy times but remember what counts.
