It’s been an extremely exciting couple of years for the 24 year old half-Congolese, half-Angolan solo artist Yannick Ilunga, aka Petite Noir.

Yannick was snapped up by his favourite label, Domino Recordings, and their imprint Double six, and took to the road in support of Foals.

The signing was followed by an extremely successful string of shows at SXSW and a trip to the US to support Solange Knowles. In 2014 Petite Noir continued to tour across the globe, highlights including another trip to SXSW and Meltdown Festival at London’s Southbank Centre.

January 2015 will see the release of his debut EP ‘The King of Anxiety’ which has already picked up support from BBC Radio 1 and Pitchfork (Best New Music), setting the stage for his debut album, set for release in spring 2015. The EP shows Petite Noir at his best and showcases a unique concoction of influences, seamlessly fusing intricate contemporary electronics with his stirring, soulful vocal and African shuffles that echo is homeland.
