Helena Deland
Helena Deland est une musicienne montréalaise qui s’intéresse à la façon dont les chansons peuvent contenir ce qui échappe au langage quotidien. Sa musique s’inspire de la lecture et de la marche.
Elle a sorti son premier album ‘Someone New’ en 2020 sur Luminelle Recordings. Il a été suivi par la sortie de Hildegard, un album en collaboration avec le musicien montréalais Ouri sur section1.
En novembre 2023 et février 2024, Helena effectuera sa première tournée mondiale en tête d’affiche. Elle a effectué de nombreuses tournées en Amérique du Nord et en Europe en première partie de groupes tels que Weyes Blood, Andy Shauf, Connan Mockasin, Soccer Mommy et Iggy Pop.

Helena Deland is a Montreal-based musician interested in how songs can hold what eludes everyday language. Her music draws on reading and walking around.
She released her first album, Someone New, in 2020 on Luminelle Recordings. It was followed by the release of Hildegard, a collaborative album with fellow Montreal musician Ouri on section1. « Bright Green Vibrant Gray » is her third single released with Montreal label and longtime collaborators Chivi Chivi, following 2022’s « Swimmer » and 2023’s “Spring Bug”. It announces the upcoming release of her second album, Goodbye Summerland, on October 13th, 2023.
In November 2023 and February 2024, Helena will be going on her first world headline tour. She has extensively toured North America and Europe opening for the likes of Weyes Blood, Andy Shauf, Connan Mockasin, Soccer Mommy and Iggy Pop.
