Oneohtrix Point Never’s new album Again, set for release September 29 follows in the wake of numerous critically acclaimed albums including Replica, R Plus Seven, Garden Of Delete, Age Of and his most recent, 2020’s eponymous Magic Oneohtrix Point Never. Since then Lopatin has been in demand in every area of musical culture, serving as musical director for The Weeknd’s 2021 Super Bowl Half-Time performance, composing and performing the music for Chanel’s 2021 Métiers d’art show, and serving as executive producer on The Weeknd’s worldwide #1 charted album, Dawn FM. He’s also worked with James Blake, Ishmael Butler, Charli XCX, Kelsey Lu, Iggy Pop and Rosalia, and his production credits include Anohni, FKA Twigs, David Byrne, Ryuichi Sakamoto, Moses Sumney, and Nine Inch Nails among many more.

The eagerly anticipated live interpretation of Again promises to turn the concept of an OPN performance on its head once more with the acclaimed multi-disciplinary artist, Freeka Tet on board as a creative director for the show. Their work together was recently showcased in OPN’s latest music video, ‘A Barely Lit Path’. The first calling card from Again, this film was directed by Tet and developed from a treatment by Lopatin and himself. It casts viewers into a dream-state to witness a surprisingly emotional and disastrous turn of events for a pair of anthropomorphized CPR dolls, employees of EMC.

The Again live show will start at the EX Theatre in Tokyo before heading over to Berlin then the UK to play Manchester’s brutalist New Century Hall, London’s Royal Festival Hall at the Southbank Centre, Paris’ acclaimed CENTQUATRE-PARIS as well as other European cities before returning to the US. The New York performance, his first home appearance in over five years, will be at the newly refurbished, iconic Paramount Theatre in Brooklyn. For those who would like to catch Oneohtrix Point Never sooner, he will also be headlining the Levitation festival in Austin, Texas on October 26th this year.
